I’ve been watching a lot of 30 Rock lately and I’ve been very distracted by the knitwear of Liz Lemon.

And so I knew I needed a kickarse slouchy hat with a big pompom. So I found a suitable hat pattern, borrowed some moda vera marvel soft from my blanket stash, and even made a very poor pompom.
Bitches get stuff done.

I always noticed her hats too.
It’s definitely a knitter thing. I never used to notice knitwear – now all of a sudden it’s everywhere and I want to figure out how to knit them all.

I now irritate all the non-knitters in my life with my knitwear obsession, both with things spotted on TV and in ‘the wild’ as it were. I find myself trying to work out how they were knitted – it’s almost like a reflex action now!
