i am beks
i love doctor who

i am a 30 something girl from perth, wa, australia…
i live in a beautoful 100 year old house near the city, and have adventures with my boyfriend (known as HeWhoFishes) and my best friend (known as Midnite Moose)
i am unique just like everybody else… every other feminist, atheist who has pink bluegreen hair…

i own too many band shirts i never wear…
i listen to whatever i can find…
i still buy CDs…
i will go to see the support band if i can…
i take photos of things that interest me…
i will plan social engagements around my football team…
i buy yarn solely because it’s my team colours teal, black, & silver.
i spend way too much time being distracted on the interweb on twitter…
i like to make up my own words – usually as a result of indicision…
i enjoy cooking and eating my own creations…
i will choose Doctor Who as my special subject on any quiz show…
i am fascinated by words and why people choose the ones they do…

i am not high maintenance but i am a self confessed snob…
i will judge you on my first impressions…
i can change my opinion if i wish to…
i believe i can grow up to be anything i want to be…

i sing to myself…
i have conversations with myself aswell…
i draw random symbols during boring meetings…
i am easily distracted by shiny objects… oooh sparkles…
i dont think in complete sentences…
i can hold entire conversations using nothing but quotes…
i love sticky beaking into others lives…
i will always be genuine about my opinions… but will always try to not hurt the people i love the most…

things i love
– beer
– lists
– the colour pink
– sunshine and pretty dresses
– the people that i choose to surround myself with
– stained glass windows, claw feet baths, fairy lights

things i dont like so much
– orange vegetables
– fake sympathy
– silence
– change
– making decisions

  1. Greetings! I also am a fan of Doctor Who and Black Books. And of quotes!

“Half ten! I’ve never been up at half ten! What happens?”

“We are running into a dead end where I’m going to have a brilliant plan that basically involves not being in one.”

  2. (I have never known anyone else whose favorite color is pink? Someone who knits and cooks her own creations and lives in Australia!?! Wow, how cool is that!!!)

Hi there! My favorite color is pink and I love learning about other countries and the people in them. You wanted to make shamrocks on my other favorite knitting blog.

New to blogging, but you can see my process of choosing them is not very complicated. Nice to know you…………………….

  3. lol I haven’t quite started my own blog yet. Very new at this, but enjoying finding other bloggers with the same interests and learning about blogging this way. One day I will begin when I learn more about my new little camera and the techy part of it. Right now only have the time it seems to “reply” and “comment”. It is a beginning…………

  4. Oh, always great to discover black books addicts! But is it Bernard Black who is awesome or is it also because he is played by Dylan Moran ? ^_^ Love your presentation, it is very unique!
