stuck in my head – cults

Earlier this week I was chosen as the Dance Track Queen.
It’s a competition on my favourite talk back station 720 Perth, where you get to pick a song that makes you want to dance, and people SMS in to vote whether or not you get to stick around.

I was voted out on my first day, but the song they played has been stuck in my head ever since.

It’s makes me want to dance around in my kitchen in colourful tights and pajamas and sing into a spatula. But the majority didn’t agree with me.

Here were the other two choices that the 720 audience didn’t get to hear.

Southbound Monday

Woke up surprisingly chipper.
Well my mates thought I’d be a lot worse, but I still maintain it was those two smokes that hit me. After not smoking for over a year, two smokes is enough. And I don’t get a hangover from smoking.
There was no one in the morning that we really wanted to see, so most of the boys went into Busso, and my boy, marnie, and I went in search of shade.
We wandered around rather aimlessly. Went to the Little Creatures tent for some pizza and listened to a bit of Pond who I like (in moderation, and in the right mood).

albums of the year

so, inspired by all the lists of the minute i’m putting together my top 10 albums list.
it’s limited to albums that i own, which is only 20.
the reason for this criteria is that i think in order for an album to be in my top 10 i should love it as an album – which i can only do if i can listen to it start to finish which usually involves me owning it.

so i’ve gone through the triple j album poll, made a shortlist of everything i bought this year (that was released this year) and here’s my top 10…
